Hello there, superhero friends!
I’m Captain PHElix, the NSPKU’s brave, bouncy mascot. I’m five (and a half, almost six!), and just like many of you, I have PKU. Every day I have five exchanges and my protein substitute, which keeps me strong, speedy, and ready for adventures.
You might spot me everywhere—at conferences, at events, in photos, and maybe even in your home one day. I love meeting new friends!
If you ever get the chance to meet me, we can create our own stories together. You can write about our adventures, draw colourful pictures, and add photos to my special journal. Every child I meet gets to add their own page, so my journal is bursting with memories from all over the UK.
And guess what? I even have my very own Activity Packs! They’re filled with colouring sheets, puzzles, stickers, badges, and lots more exciting things. I’ve already posted loads of them to children across the country.
Let me share a superhero tip, here’s my superhero secret… Keep being awesome, keep being brave, and always have your supplements – just like I do. That’s how superheroes stay strong, healthy, and ready for anything.
