If you are a woman or girl with PKU aged 16 or over, we would be very grateful if you could complete this survey about menstruation (periods) and PKU.
This being conducted by the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust in Salford with funding support from NSPKU.
The survey is open to any women and girls aged 16 or over, who are currently having periods or who has had periods in the past, including women who have been through the menopause or who are taking contraception which has stopped their periods.
Why is this important?
Many women with PKU have suspected there may be a link between periods and phenylalanine (Phe) levels, and research is ongoing to understand more about this. We hope this survey will help improve knowledge, research, and healthcare for women and girls with PKU in the future.
